Can you get rabies from this?

I was walking around a tennis court, so we found tennis balls that were wet from rain the day before. The balls were found in a line of trees but they weren't that thick. My question is if you can contract rabies from a ball that might of been drooled on by a raccoon or another species that predominantly gets rabies. I tend to be afraid of infectious diseases so that probably plays a role in my overreaction. What are the chances that the ball was drooled on?
