Chance of getting AIDS from a accidental needle prick from a hospital?

The odds are not huge - about 5 health care workers in the US get infected this way each year. The CDC has procedures for possible exposures to HIV from skin pricks. You should report this to your supervisor and make sure you receive the appropriate treatment to prevent development of HIV. This should be started ASAP, and don't take no for an answer.
