Why do Scientist devote their lives to...?

deceiving us little simple minded folk? I ain't sure how the earth got here or humans, so im going to say God did it cant they be happy with that? I mean its not like evolutionary biology is central to the development of vaccines, drug development, the biotechnology industry and methods for tracking infectious diseases. Just let me go die at the age of 30 with my sacrificial tribe.
