Will my testicles realign after an infection?

Monday night I went to the ER with pain and swelling in my left testicle. I was diagnosed with epididymitis, an infectious inflammation of the epididymis gland near the testicle. The swelling and pain have decreased since they started me on antibiotics, but my left testicle has been in a slightly different position than it was before (it's hanging about a 1/2 inch further back than it used to, and now my sac looks strange and asymmetrical). I'm wondering if this will pass and everything will return to normal, or if there's anything I can do to remedy the situation if it won't realign itself naturally.
